About
I'm Andrew Winegarner — a mechanical/electrical engineer based out of Phoenix, Arizona, and a Northern Arizona University grad. This site is a running log of the stuff I build for fun: software, mechanical builds, music, and whatever else doesn't fit neatly into a category.
My engineering background spans electromechanical systems, computer and software engineering, automotive projects, product development, and renewable energy. Some of that shows up in the projects here — a solar-powered generator with app monitoring, an off-road race car built for Baja SAE (which took first place at NAU's Celebration of Undergraduate Research and Design), and more recently things like RC cars and whatever else I'm tinkering with that week.
Before engineering full-time, I spent a few years as a DJ and sound engineer with Flagscratch Productions in Flagstaff, designing and running audio systems for nightclubs and events — which probably explains the music category around here. I'm also a member of SAE and ASME.
